Campus Crusade – Campus Ministry

new_cru_logo-300x214 Today, the campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian.

What is Catalytic?

craig Catalytic takes a non-traditional method toward reaching the campus in that we are relying on students to take full ownership of the campus. Staff members serve as coaches and guides as students lead the day-to-day responsibilities of the ministry. Today, there are over 700 launched ministries, with another 300 in the pioneering or key contact stage, involving approximately 15,000 students in the U.S.

The Catalytic lane of Campus Crusade for Christ will continue dreaming, designing and developing whatever it takes to reach every student. From Freshman Survival Kits to an empowered church partnership strategy, pioneering staff in the Catalytic strategy are reshaping ministry today to reach every student tomorrow.

History

In 1999 a handful of Campus Crusade for Christ staff members had a dream to see every college student in Nebraska given the opportunity to begin a spiritual journey with Christ.

They prayerfully began to launch Spiritual movements on college campuses across Nebraska. As God was moving in the hearts of college students, incredible stories of lives being transformed by the power of the Spirit poured in from all across the state.

Students were leading the movements with staff coaching from a distance, and the harvest was plentiful!

The lessons learned in these pioneering years have shaped our ministry philosophy, which can be summarized as, “Student-led, staff-coached spiritual movements everywhere”.
